We're on a mission to improve community health by creating opportunities for people to experience the healing power of nature. We work toward this mission via education, advocacy, and events.
We focus on three key areas impacting community health in the US:
- Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence + Other Traumas
- Diabetes Prevention + Management
- Exploring the Mind-Body Connection
We are kind of obsessed with three things here at Hiking My Feelings:
INSPIRATION: Hiking My Feelings: Stepping into the Healing Power of Nature is the story of how hiking helped Sydney Williams heal her mind and body, and serves as the backbone to all of our programming. Everyone has a story, and your story matters. If you're here, you've already experienced the worst days of your life - and you're a survivor. We'll share tips and tricks to help you draw inspiration from the most difficult of life circumstances.
INTENTION: When you find yourself inspired, how do you take that energy and turn it into action? Set an intention. We use the themes and lessons presented in the book to bring intention and awareness to the parts of our story that need reclaiming.
INTEGRATION: What about when you're ready to make it happen? How do you take the lessons learned and put them into practical application? As we like to say, the awareness is the work. There isn't some healed destination to reach, this is a journey. We're honored to walk beside you as you blaze your own trail to self-love.
With your help, we'll co-create the future we want to live in; a world where our connection with nature is restored, diabetes is eradicated, and sexual violence is a thing of the past.
We are currently raising money to build the Hiking My Feelings® Wilderness Wellness Center (WWC). The WWC will serve as the hub for all of our programming; online education, in-person workshops and retreats, and the basecamp for our group hikes, wilderness retreats, and backpacking trips.
